Welcome to PLMC
Promised Land Ministries Church

A Bible Teaching Ministry Dedicated To Empowering
Through Kingdom Principles Teaching

Today’s Churches are encountering unparalleled challenges in meeting the spiritual needs of the body of Christ during these End Times. During this Darken Age, spiritual navigation will be essential to persevere from the World’s Agenda imposing its will to obliterate God’s will.
God gave Promised Land Ministries the vision to embrace His promise given to the prophet Jeremiah I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jer. 3:15.
God has purposed this ministry to teach his people by tending to spiritual knowledge and understanding, that they may know Him. This knowledge is not only a spiritual gift on this side of the Jordon, it is the path way to eternal life with Christ. And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. ”  John 17:3

About Us

Pastors Freeman,  Senior Pastorimg_1636

Pastor Carlton D. Freeman and his late wife Rosalyn founded and planted  the Promised Land Ministries Church on September 2, 2001 in San Diego, California before opening in Tomball, Texas. The vision for our church began its spiritual journey during a Sunday School session with his family and one other family. Since opening our doors, God has blessed our church with growth as promised in his declared word “Praising God” and having favor with all the people. “The Lord added to the church daily, such as, should be, saved.” (Acts 2:47)

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Community Outreach

Promised Land Ministries is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom. We are actively involved with community outreach ministries such as Boxes of Love and Compassion International
Currently this ministry provide seasonal food baskets for families during the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas.  We are currently in the application process with Houston Food Bank to become an authorized agent  Food Pantry.
Promised land Ministries are proud to announce our partnership with Blackshear Elementary School, Tomball Texas MENTORING PROGRAM. We mentor elementary school age children and implementing an after school mentoring in association with Blackshear Elementary School.
Additionally, we are involved with providing book bags and school supplies in targeted communities.  The book bag ministry has proven to be an invaluable asset to young student. Having the necessary school supplies provides the student an opportunity to succeed. One student replied “having a book bag full of school supplies made me excel in class because some one cared.” If a smile on a child’s face bring you joy, you’ll be “over joyed” in this ministry. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they go to a foreign country or go and minister in a local community.

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. The psalmist said, PRAISE Him with the sound of the trumpet; PRAISE Him with the psaltery and harp.
PRAISE Him with the timbrel and dance; PRAISE him with stringed instruments and organs.
PRAISE Him upon the loud cymbals; Praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Let everything with breath praise the Lord, Praise ye the LORD
Worshipers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Ushers

Our usher fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and/or audio formats

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated or over utilized. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Small Group

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies.

Each third Sunday morning, children get to participate in worship service with recital of scriptures and songs. The bible instruct us to “Train Up A Child” Proverbs 22:6. Children are taught bible stories and scriptures in Sunday school utilizing advanced digital aids and teachers. Currently, all children are participating with “Heifer International.”  This mission provides livestock to families in developing countries and villages to end hunger and poverty. Promised Land Ministries children has taken on this  mission to raise money to purchase flocks of chickens, ducks and other livestock.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of our church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Trust in The Lord

It's simple. It's short. Yet it's incredibly powerful. Proverbs 3:5-6 is one of the most familiar passages in the Bible–with good reason. It sets forth a life-changing truth that is worthy of our attention. Spend three minutes reading this article, and see if you agree.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Trust in the Lord.

It starts …

Do Not Lean on Your Own Understanding

Read part 1 first, Trust In The Lord.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Don't Lean on Your Understanding

The verse involves a positive–something you must do. But it also involves a negative–something you must not do. Don't lean on your own understanding. Basically, the verse is telling us that we ought not to be self-reliant. We cannot pursue a course of action, a financial decision, a business move, a relationship, or an educational choice, simply based on our own understanding. It must be founded in our trust in God.

Self-reliance is such a deceptive trap. We begin to pride ourselves in something–our savvy, our looks, our intellect, our spirituality, our family, whatever. And when we do, it takes away our trust in the Lord. It has become trust in self. The result is a dangerous compromise that will lead to destruction.
